The Watson Family

After the pandemic, I realized I had developed several unhealthy and damaging habits that led me to operate as the lowest version of myself. I was unhappy, I was lukewarm in my relationship with God, I was deeply emasculated, but the Lord provided a way.

I met a group of men who would show me the book “Wild at Heart” by John Eldredge, which offers a valuable perspective on masculinity from Scripture and experience on the part of the author, and I suddenly walked in more victory than I had in years.

I began to care about Jesus deeper and deeper, and found myself wanting a wife and a family, yet I was unsure how to find a woman that loved the Lord. I took the advice to download a dating app and used Hinge, which has a bunch of different settings and information so it isn’t mindless swiping based purely on looks, though it’s hard to avoid that element in today’s culture.
I was very specific in my search for a woman of the Lord, and God answered my many prayers on the very first online date I ever went on, with Rachel Anderson, who is now Rachel Watson.

Jesus is everything to us, and He has been our Rock and our Counselor in all we do, since meeting in May of 2021, marrying in October 2022, and expecting our firstborn son, David, in late November 2023. God is so good.
